This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work at Orba Yoga Retreat & Health Spa. It forms part of our full Terms & Conditions.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights. If we cancel, materially change, or fail to provide a service with reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a refund, repeat performance, or price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

2. Online bookings and cancellation rights

Some online purchases carry a 14-day cancellation right. This right does not usually apply to leisure services booked for a specific date or period, such as dated classes, workshops, spa appointments, courses, and retreats. Memberships and open-ended services may carry a 14-day right, as explained in our Terms. If you ask us to start an open-ended service during that period, we may charge a proportionate amount for what has been provided.

3. Classes and courses

  • Missed classes are not refunded and do not carry over, unless we agree otherwise or you are entitled to a refund by law.
  • If we cancel or reschedule a class or course, we will offer a refund for the affected session or an alternative session.
  • Customer cancellations of course bookings are subject to the cancellation terms shown at booking.

4. Memberships

  • You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us or through GoCardless; please give at least 5 working days’ notice before the next collection date.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. No pro-rata refund is given for part-used periods unless required by law.
  • Your Direct Debit Guarantee rights are unaffected, and you may cancel your Direct Debit mandate with your bank at any time.
  • Seasonal pause is available between terms; request this before the next collection date.

5. Spa treatments and spa days

  • A non-refundable deposit of £30 per person secures your booking, except where we cancel, materially change the booking, or a refund is required by law.
  • You may move your booking once with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
  • Cancellations or reductions in numbers with less than 48 hours’ notice, and no-shows, may be charged up to the full booking price. We will try to re-fill the appointment or places and will reduce the charge where we recover the loss, less any unrecoverable costs.
  • Late arrival may result in a shortened treatment, with the full price payable where the late arrival is your responsibility.

6. Workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings

  • Cancellation terms vary by event and are shown at booking. Deposits secure limited places and may be non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Unless event-specific terms say otherwise, customer cancellation charges are: more than 56 days before the start, deposit plus unrecoverable costs; 28 to 56 days before, 50% of the total; less than 28 days or non-attendance, 100% of the total. We will try to resell your place and refund amounts recovered where we can.
  • If we cancel a workshop, training, or retreat, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.
  • Payment plans: instalments are part of the full course fee; if you withdraw, the cancellation charges above apply, and any amount paid above the applicable charge is refunded.
  • Where a retreat is a package under package travel law, your package travel rights apply and override any inconsistent wording.
  • We recommend travel insurance for any retreat involving travel abroad.
